Installing latest kernel

Hello. I’ve performed a clean installation of Manjaro KDE and I noticed that it has been running on the 6.12 LTS kernel. How can I switch to the latest one? I remember using the Manjaro Settings Manager in the past which simplified the process, but it’s not present in this most recent version anyone. Thanks in advance.

It is present, but not as part of the plasma control panel but as a separate application instead.

That said, it is recommended that you stay on the more stable LTS kernel unless you have some very new hardware. If you go to the latest kernel, you will have to update (change it) every 3 months.

Thanks for your immediate reply. So I guess I can find the application in the Software Center, right? Maybe you could tell me the command so that I can install it from the terminal?

The manjaro settings manager is probably installed by default already. Just type “manjaro” in the application launcher.

I would recommend to keep the 6.12 LTS installed as fallback.

I misunderstood the previous post by thinking that I had to install it myself. Thank both of you for your help.
