Wired network takes long time to connect after hibernation

Not sure how or what caused the issue but now when I wake my computer from sleep or hibernation mode it takes a good 20 to 30 seconds for my Ethernet connection to connect to the internet. I noticed my connect auto with priority was set at -999 so I changed to default of 0 and higher numbers but nothing seems to help. If I uncheck “connect auto with priority” and manually connect after waking from sleep then my internet connects right away. Haven’t been able to find anything online which seems to help fix the issue. I have reinstalled network manager and still same issue.
