Installer closing quickly in KDE live environment

Hello all, first time posting here.

I recently got a laptop from work that came with Windows 10. I decided I wanted to switch it to Manjaro KDE. I upgraded the RAM and popped in a 240GB SSD in. Though I’m thinking of switch it to a 1TB HDD so it can have more space.

When trying to start the install process in the live environment, the installer will pop up for about a second then it just closes. Nothing else happens. I tried launching with open source drivers and proprietary drivers and it still closes right away. I am not sure what I can do to get through the install process.

The main specs for my laptop is
Dell Inc. Inspiron 5570
12.0 GiB RAM
Intel® Core™ i3-8130U CPU @ 2.20GHz × 4
Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620

I am not sure what other info would be helpful to post. I’m still a bit of a noob with Linux. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Forum :+1:

  • Did you use the latest official ISO from Manjaro itself?
  • Did you check that ISO for errors using it’s checksums?

Plus it might not hurt to read this also, especially how to post command output etc
