First login fail with Gnome Extension enabled

Hi everyone,

I’ve experienced a bug since weeks on my day to dy laptop.
If I’m booting or rebooting my laptop and forgot to disable Gnome extensions, my first connection to gnome is very long and after some times, it return on login screen and I can log into Gnome without issue (with Gnome extension disabled automatically).

I’ve not experienced that on 2 others devices, only this.
Did anyone have the same problem ?

I don´t know if I can show gnome extensions logs ?
I tried to disabled all extensions, keep only extension that I’m using on others devices but no changes, If I keep gnome extension enabled, my first login fail after some times.

I’m on Gnome 42.2 but It happened also before Gnome 42.

Thank in advance

Hi @atsen,

I’m not a Gnome user, so I doubt I’ll be able to offer much, if any help. However, I can point you in the correct direction to give the necessary info so those that can help are able to do so.

Please provide

journalctl _UID=$(id --user) --priority=3

From a successful login.

Also, please see:

Hope you manage!

Tip:

To provide terminal output, copy the text you wish to share, and paste it here, surrounded by three (3) backticks, a.k.a grave accents. Like this:

```
pasted text
```

This will just cause it to be rendered like this:

Portaest sed
elementum
cursus nisl nisi
hendrerit ac quis
sit
adipiscing
tortor sit leo commodo.

Instead of like this:

Portaest sed elementum cursus nisl nisi hendrerit ac quis sit adipiscing tortor sit leo commodo.

Thereby improving legibility and making it much easier for those trying to be of assistance.
