I was attempting to give AwesomeWM a try, hopefully to make a full switch from Plasma. I managed to get it started, and I was figuring things out off the official documentation, but I rebooted and suddenly neither Awesome nor KDE would load. I’ve been scouring the forums all day, but none of the fixes are working and Timeshift is not able to restore my system either.
I believe it’s not detecting the window manager properly, and running plasmashell tells me that qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display, that xcb could not be loaded, and asks me to reinstall the application.
How do I do that? Could there be another issue/fix here?
