could someone please take a look at these 2 links -I think I may have found the problem and a solution but it’s beyond my level to implement .
Blacklisting is pretty straight forward … the question is what module are you trying to blacklist?
Maybe rtl8192cu
?
is r8169 a module ?
No … but I suppose my guess above is correct:
echo "blacklist rtl8192cu" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-8192cu.conf
(reboot)
thats done .
And ?
You could reload NetworkManager, etc … but just reboot.
IT WORKS !!! I unplugged the old one before restart and plugged in new one and it came up auto.
