Incorrect battery icon after waking up from sleep

Occasionally, usually after my TP-T480s wakes up from sleep, the battery icon is in ‘charging’ state even though the laptop is not plugged in. The issue resolves if I reboot the device, but the same thing happens while waking up from sleep. While the icon is incorrect, I get the following message on hovering:

What should I do about this?
