I’m using the 21.2.6 I3-wm community edition, and love Manjaro as a distro, except for these weird “crashes” I seem to be encountering more and more often.
So the problem I’m having is, that the OS randomly “freezes” at times. I’m still able to move the cursor and play around with the active window using the keyboard, but can’t shift window focus or tabs in the web browser. I’ve tried every possible key combination and the solution is ultimately to just reboot the computer which is a tedious task…
Writing it out, it sure sounds an awful lot like the problem is with the window manager itself.
The i3 version I’m using is the 4.20.1 (2021-11-03).
Initially I thought it occurred whenever I pressed a combination of keys (particularly the multimedia keys) but after having it happen at random idk anymore.
Ran
journalctl --boot=-1 --priority=3 --catalog
which gave me
[x0rec@x0rec-Desktop ~]$ journalctl --boot=-1 --priority=3 --catalog
