I encounter two issues with the Manjaro 21.1.0 KDE minimal version

Hi guys,

I encounter two issues with the Manjaro 21.1.0 KDE minimal version :

  1. It happen sometimes. When I log out of my session and I restart the system, I’ve got a black screen who appears and the system freezes. I use the CTRL+ALT+del keys to restart but it doesn’t work. So, I must cut off the computer. I don’t know if it is because I’ve got the Optimus technology (but I use optimus-manager to cut off the nvidia card and the open source drivers are selected). I tried with X11 session and Wayland session.

  2. There is a problem with plasma-nm (KDE Network applet). It display the true mac address despite I defined a cloned mac address in it. I tried that solution:

In the NetworkManager.conf file , I added :
…
[connection]
ethernet.cloned-mac-address=preserve
wifi.cloned-mac-address=random
…

And I launched the following command : systemctl restart NetworkManager

but it didn’t work. The KDE network applet display the true mac address. I’m not the only one to have this problem: KDENetworks shows true MAC address despite MAC randomization • KDE Community Forums
