Either put in 1 or nothing at all.
As it says … y is not valid.


Means you have unsupported packages.


This indicates you have en EOL (end-of-life, dead, gone) kernel. 6.5 has not existed for months.

You should boot into a supported kernel like 6.1 or 6.6, remove 6.5, and then you may continue.


This was mentioned in update announcement threads (and superfluous other threads) going back months.

The ‘solution’ then was to use the double-u, to allow downgrades.
