I always updated AUR packages in the past, but the problem was persistent for a longer period of time now, so i hope that was it. You have my thanks.

The main benefits of Pamac for me are 1. Notifying when updates are available and 2. Searching across AUR and Flatpak (I didnât enable Snapd).
When I want to do a system upgrade, then layered is nice - after pacman upgrade I will follow up with Topgrade which will check other stuffâŚ
Topgrade synchronises (using Paru I think) including AUR and will force you to review the pkgbuild (ignore at your peril - I often doâŚ) followed by other updatesâŚ
