I can't install Manjaro 18.0.4 kde with nvidia geforce gtx 1650

I am trying to install manjaro 18.0.4 kde but show error " started TLP system startup/shutdown"
I have a nvidia geforce gtx 1650. I am a windows 10 user but I install kubuntu because I like Kde plasma.

I don´t know manjaro distro.

Hi @ajcm73, welcome at the forum.

Have you tried to enter TTY by CtrlAltF2?

If this works you could try:

$ sudo pacman -S haveged
$ sudo systemctl enable haveged --now

and reboot.

When are you getting this error? When you are trying to start the LiveCD? After installation and trying to boot up? Or?

It appears in the start live cd ( usb) , I don't see the calamares desktop still.

$ sudo pacman -S haveged
It says that the haveged don't exits.

I have an i3 7100 and gigabyte h110m-s2 motherboard with NVIDIA geforce gtx 1650 .

I have the same issue.
Rig: Processor - Ryzen 7 1700x
GPU - Nvidia GTX 1650
Motherboard - AORUS B450

Tried :

  1. Pacman -Syyu
  2. sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300 : This installs video-nvidia.
  3. startx
Gives output as - EE "No screens found"

Inxi -G : Device-1: NVIDIA TU107 [GeForce GTX 1650] driver:N/A (After installing video-nvidia)

Nvidia-settings : Error: The control display is undefined.

Using a single monitor (Samsung curved display)

Xorg output:

EE NVIDIA: Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module.

Please try 18.1.0-rc7.

@cscs @sueridgepipe maybe can shed some light on this issue.
I usually refrain from posting on forums and try to find a solution on my own but I have been stuck on this one since almost +48 hrs now.

After examining Xorg output I bumped upon the following page:

Assuming that the kernel doesn't support drivers specifically for GTX1650.. However, NVIDIA officially announced support for the driver: NVIDIA announcement
Correct me if I am wrong.

Okay. Will try this and post back.
Appreciate the prompt response.

it is more likely to work with the 18.1 ISO since the new ISO was released after the 1650 whereas the default kernel and NVIDIA drivers on 18.04 pre-date the GPU's release to the retail channel.

yeah but wait until you have it installed rather than just running from Live environment just to make sure all is fine.

Yes, perfect, the manjaro 18.1.0 rc7 testing works very fine, perfecto, I think that it is much more stable that kubuntu in general.

Kubuntu is more stable that windows 10.:+1::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Thanks at all.
