Is your WiFi turned on in Gnome Settings? Silly question probably but worth checking. I don’t use Gnome anymore and I can’t remember whether it is enabled on a fresh install.
I don’t know about the wired connection. Reboot the router? Check ISP status, maybe they’re doing a bit of maintenance?
