I am running Manjaro with KDE plasma. Suddenly (I don’t know if it was after an update or some other point) I am unable to use the speakers. I am constantly on mute and the speaker symbol in the bottom right is also on mute. I also installed pavucontrol (so I wouldn’t only be using alsa) and here I was able to set it to unmute but there was still no sound coming out. It signaled that there was sound “playing” but there it also says “silence” below the bar.
Did you reboot the system?
Yes. This issue has been going for a week now.
