Every single time I install any of the nvidia drivers from the manjaro hardware menu my laptop will not pass the hp splash screen after powering on. Can not get into os, no recovery, no nothing… Why are the drivers there if they break the laptop? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Laptop model is Hp 17m-cg0013dx

Seems the driver is installed now. But now there is no sound at all. No speakers detected it seems… Starting to miss Ubuntu lol.
Sound is a totally different issue from display so you’re going to be better off posting a new topic for that to attract other experts…
