How to turn off Alternate Character Key?

Hi, today I noticed that my left ALT is not working. I thought it was hardware issues but after some browsing I found the main problem. I’m using Manjaro Gnome.

My question is, how to turn off Alternate Characters Key? I’m using modern keyboard and it’s doesn’t have alternate character. Thanks!

How do you know it’s not a hardware issue?

• Have you tried an external keyboard?
• Have you gone to a TTY and run showkey?
• If none of the above, what else did you do?

I tried to change Alternate Key to right Alt. And it’s working.
