How to switch from NVIDIA to AMD GPU (both stay in the same system)

@alita ofc no driver needed. AMD driver is baked into the kernel like INTEL. However… which chipset do you have?

If your card is supported, then you might need to force linux to use the amdgpu driver instead of the radeon driver:

1. Open /etc/mkinitcpio.conf as root and change the MODULE line to:

MODULES=(amdgpu radeon)

Then run sudo mkinitcpio -P

2. Then create and open as root: /etc/modprobe.d/amdgpu.conf and add there:

options amdgpu si_support=1
options amdgpu cik_support=1

3. Then create and open as root: /etc/modprobe.d/radeon.conf and add there:

options radeon si_support=0
options radeon cik_support=0
