It has to be some settting by you, because I don’t have it:

$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
# Generated by NetworkManager
search http\058\047\047disc.world.pihole
nameserver 10.0.0.254
nameserver 1.1.1.3

I’ve also checked, it doesn’t seem to be immutable:

$ lsattr /etc/resolv.conf
--------------e------- /etc/resolv.conf
