How to search the forum

Before posting a new thread, try searching the forum to see if your question has already been asked.

Searching is easy - click on the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner, and type one or more keywords. Threads and posts containing that keyword will then be shown.

For example, if you’re posting about a Dell XPS 15 9560, try searching for “Dell 9560” or “XPS 9560”. It’s very likely that the issues you’re having will already be under discussion!

If looking for something very specific, you could also try a search engine and add the site to the search options, e.g. site:forum.manjaro.org <search_term>.

Just noticed this little addition. I understand the reason it is here…
But there seems no way to waive or exit the notification/banner.

(EDIT) - Oh, on ‘dark’ theme the X is a bit obscured. :stuck_out_tongue:

Click the X at the top-right of the banner to dismiss the banner.

Edit: the X wasn’t very clear on either theme - it should be a bit better now.

Dear @jonathon can you add another method of searching using this search term in any search engine?

site:forum.manjaro.org <search_term>

Cause sometimes the search algorithm in the forum sucks. It’ll be good if we provided another good method of searhing…

Many thanks! :kissing_closed_eyes:

Yes, I have noticed that sometimes I get no results searching the forum, but I get results pointing to the forum in a google search. So, I’ve been doing most of my searches that way.
