How to reset Dolphin configuration?

I moved the toolbar by unlocking it and now it’s stuck and shows up like a different window in the taskmanager and won’t move.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it with pacman -Rns and manually deleting ~/.config/dolphinrc
but it still shows up like this. How do i proceed to get it back it to its initial layout… please help me.
many thanks

search is your friend - the same question was asked a few days ago

I did read that before posting, but unfortunately my issue is a bit different.
I know how to toggle panels and toolbars. My problem is the toolbar is stuck to the center of the window and I cannot move it no matter what I try.
I even tried using timeshift but that failed me too.
My only hope at this point is to somehow remove it completely with all its configuration files but I don’t know how. Some searching gave me pacman -Rns but it didn’t do me much good either. So please help me fix this.
Thank you

Remove ~/.config/dolphinrc and relaunch dolphin.

unfortunately it didn’t work :frowning:

The answer was in my face all along.
In the context menu there is an orientation option (visible in the screenshot ) inside that I chose top and its fixed.
here look:

Most likely dolphin is running as a daemon and this caches any configuration and the removal of the rc will not affect the running daemon.

Good you found the cause.
