How to get the best from laptop and manjaro

Hi,

I want to get the best from my laptop and manjaro.
While installing, which file system is the best to choose ? ext4, btrfs, xfs etc ? Should I choose automatic installation ( erase everything )or setup it manually (root, home partition, boot, swap etc).

Also I want that installation for a longer period, stable.

ext4 is the standard for general users

That would be easier

I personally have:

  • 100MB FAT32 /boot/efi
  • Everything else in / ext4

And I make a swapfile once I boot in

Some users like making a /home partition. I don’t personally, but you can.

Swapfile is better than systemd-swap ?

I also never used /home partition :slight_smile:
