How to dual boot Manjaro and Windows 10 in 2025? Windows EFI partition not compatible with Linux

Hello. I have been reinstalling W10 and Manjaro for so many years. Now I had to do it again, so I installed W10 first and then Manjaro. But W10 creates an EFI partition of 100 mb and it gives me no option to change the size during installation, meanwhile Manjaro requires it to be (/boot/efi) at least 500 mb. I cant change the size after W10 is installed.

So how can I overcome this issue? seems to be that linux is no longer accommodating to play nice with W10, is there a way to make it work?

And installing only manjaro is not an option considering Im in this dilema because of the latest update that broke plasma

Actually, it’s the calamares installer which insists that the EFI partition should be at least 300 MiB, but strictly speaking, that’s not necessary. A 100 MiB EFI partition will work just fine.

But it says unless I make it the 300mb way it will not make the efi partition

Well, you already have an EFI partition, i.e. the one that MS-Windows created. So, as per the advice in that popup, you can proceed without creating an EFI partition from within the calamares installer.

I would recommend a manual partitioning anyway, so that you can then point the installer at the existing EFI partition and assign the /boot/efi mountpoint to it.

allright thanks. I got it working
