How to change open source drivers option to proprietary drivers option?

I can’t change the option in hardware configuration. It is using opensource drivers i need the proprietary drivers

Hi @askrishna211, and welcome.

The answer to that depends on whether you have an AMD or Nvidia GPU. Because AFAIK the AMD driver is open source.

The devices from distributors shown on the hardware page will most certainly contain the correct software for the hardware.

The command for installing the modules for you display hardware is

sudo mhwd -a pci 0300

If you have anything needing proprietary binaries then it usually finds the correct one.

But as you have mentioned nothing on your system the above is as good as it gets with the lack of info.

sudo mhwd -a pci nonfree 0300
