I seem to have the same problem and the solution (installing kernel 6.12) does not work for me. BAck on my current kernel 6.1 I simply reverted the polkit installation to polkit-126-2 (the previous version)
But could someone explain, why upgrading the kernel fixed a polkit problem?
Nobody knows. It should’t in theory. Have in mind, downgrading puts you in an unsupported state. And the strategy to postpone might not work since this is a planned change + a bug maybe and not a regression so generally it should’t be expected upstream will revert it but let us see.
Sorry about this. I was not aware of it. Lesson learned.
