How do I remove shortcuts from the left panel in the file explorer? (gnome)

I don’t use my desktop, was able to remove icons with gnome-tweaks from it and also remove the desktop folder from the file explorer.

I am unable to remove the desktop shortcut from the side panel. Any ideas on how to do it?

Open a terminal window, run the following command

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons false

and check if that worked.
