How do I install opengl? Getting a 'Could not probe OpenGL.' when trying to run Cura

Could not probe OpenGL. This program requires OpenGL 2.0 or higher. Please check your video card drivers.

I’m getting this error with Cura 5.0.0 appimage. Cura 4.13.1 is working fine though.

Since inxi shows your GPU is recognized and is using a proper driver AND older version of Cura works, I suggest reporting this upstream to Cura, what has changed between the two versions in OpenGL detection. It would be a driver installation problem if everything that requires OpenGL fails, instead of a specific version of an app.

Found the solution here.

I followed only the bit at the top:

AppImage=./Ultimaker-Cura-5.0.0-linux.AppImage
${AppImage} --appimage-extract
mv squashfs-root/libstdc++.so.6 squashfs-root/libstdc++.so.6.removed
./appimagetool-x86_64.AppImage squashfs-root
mv -f Ultimaker_Cura-x86_64.AppImage ${AppImage}
