How can I downgrade to linux58?

Hello. I want to downgrade to linux58 from current linux59 (for my own research purposes), but I can’t find the kernel in mhwd-kernel. Is there some way to downgrade?

you can list

sudo mhwd-kernel -l

see version installed

sudo mhwd-kernel -li

add version 5.4 LTS

sudo mhwd-kernel -i linux54

see whether you still have a version of that kernel in your pacman cache
ls -hl /var/cache/pacman/pkg | grep linux
If it is you can install it with:
sudo pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/linux_XXX
If it isn’t there anymore I have no idea where to get it from.
In Arch you can downgrade and find the neccessary files in an external archive.
I don’t think that Manjaro has the same - if it does: I didn’t find it.

You could install an Arch kernel from that archive.
It should work just as well - but I don’t know that for a fact.

linux58 is EOL ( no more support )

If you still want to go ahead with that, I’d suggest to take a look at kernel.org git.
You’ll need to compile it on your own though. There’s already a good HowTo somewhere in this forum to do that.
