Home network not displayed after installation

I’m trying to install the latest version of Manjaro KDE on an old Acer Aspire laptop. Our home wifi network shows up as long as I’m running the OS from the USB stick. But after install the network doesn’t show up, only our neighbors’. After reading some posts here, I removed the network driver in hardware configuration and restarted. My network showed up and I could connect to it. But Pamac acted strangely, finding no updates etc. And after starting Firefox, the computer froze after starting a speed check.

I then tried to reinstall the network drivers again, only resulting in a computer freeze.

Please advice!

Any help here? Same thing happened when installing Linux Mint. The network is visible as long as I’m running from the USB stick. After installation, it’s gone.

Try another kernel, e.g. 5.4 or 4.19. Don’t forget to update.
