WoW + Optimus Manager not working on hybrid

I have just installed Optimus manager and set for hyrid mode with a GeForce 960M laptop card.
I installed lutris battle net ( Blizzard Battle.net - Lutris ) and world-of-warcraft classic ( World of Warcraft (Classic) - Lutris )
and trying to run World of Warcraft TBC Classic through each of them, but for some reason I get either a black window or a brown and fading to blue one
with the music in the background playing indicating that it runs normally except the screen.
I wonder if there is any way to go around this?

Did you try running it with the Intel GPU? Seems there is a problem mit with nvidia and dxvk.

The game launches fine but crashes after loading screen.
Not the greatest Intel GPU I guess

I had to set from switchable graphics to Integrated Only in BIOS for it to work as Battle.net wouldnt launch at all

When I switch to nvidia in Optimus and get thrown back to login screen of Manjaro it wont even start, just a black screen. Is there something wrong with my drivers or\and card?

Intel HD 530 should work with vulkan. I would rather say that the intel vulkan driver is not installed…

You can switch between iGPU und dGPU (if nvidia driver installed) with: prime-run.

However… there is nothing wrong with your GPUs, but the vulkan driver and DXVK. Try to run it without DXVK, but with WineD3D. At the options of lutris, there is a switch.

Forgive my ignorance, but I cant find that option and googling for it doesnt really help

Yeah when you disable DXVK/VKD3D,it will use WineD3D by default.

It must be a problem with wine or dxvk.

  1. Try another version of wine.
  2. Try another version of dxvk.
  3. Maybe it is a new patch of blizzard that breaks wine?

After tinkering abit with these I still dont get to run WoW with a good screen - I can on iGPU but the performance is terrible

Can you try switching to integrated mode in optimus manager and run the game with the nvidia card there? With 470 drivers you no longer need to switch to hybrid mode,you can directly use the nvidia card there,you just did it here without prime-run

You can type nvidia-smi in integrated mode as well to see if the game is using the nvidia card,just make sure to have DXVK enabled in Lutris options.
