Hibernate, suspend, hybrid sleep functions work incorrectly

it looks like it could be some bios setting related, check there some power management/ power save/ sleep options …
i would also try booting into non xfce live usb, for example KDE, and just try suspending/closing the lid and see if it works there…

I have very few setting in bios but i’ve tried switching all of them together or separately but it made no effect. I tried Sleep in manjaro kde live usb and it works…

Also i don’t know if it is related to my problem but on reboot/shutdown i get these messages

did you tried it several times?
maybe its something related to xfce and your hardware, or maybe you did something that causes it, thats hard to tell…

the logs from the pic are related to audio, probably not related…
i see, that you have both pulse and pipewire, so try switching to pipewire:

sudo pacman -S manjaro-pipewire wireplumber

it will give you pulse dependency issues, so remove them first, and then run the install command again, reboot and test …

Yeah, I did it like 15 times in a row and all worked perfectly. For sure i did like 10 today and it worked well again.

I guess it’s xfce or manjaro issue because as i wrote in firts post hibernation/suspend works well in Windows 10 so it seems to me it’s not hardware. And i didn’t touch any files and configs due the installation as i wrote i was just following steps, installer did everything for me…

Btw i removed pulse but i still got some messages on shutdown/reboot idk if it is related but anyway i took the picture

those are not related… one is for watchdog, and then again for the audio…
disable watchdog:
open this:
sudo nano etc/default/grub
and in this line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT inside the quotes, put the following kernel parameter:
nowatchdog
dont remove anything from there, just add it to existing parameters, save the file with ctrl+x, and update grub:
sudo update-grub

then create this file:
sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
and put there these lines:

blacklist iTCO_wdt
blacklist iTCO_vendor_support

save it with CTRL+X, and recreate initframs:
sudo mkinitcpio -P
reboot and test, maybe it will help… if not provide again logs:
journalctl -b-1 -p4 --no-pager

Errors are still with me…
Also i tested hibernation , it worked like 6 times in a row but then black screen happened again.

you have these, but i have no idea if they are related… these point to your ethernet … maybe try disabling it in bios and test …

in the pic, there is again the watchod message … did you disable it as outlined above?
check with these if its disabled:
cat /proc/sys/kernel/watchdog
cat /proc/sys/kernel/nmi_watchdog
both should return ‘0’

what should i disable in bios? ethernet?

Yes i did but when i tried cat /proc/sys/kernel/watchdog it returned 1 so i checked /etc/default/grub and realised that nowatchdog parameter just vanished… So i tried to add it again and check if it stays there after closing the file. But no, my edits in that file do not apply… I did all as you wrote i add it than pressed ctrl + x it asked me to save modified buffer so i pressed Y(Yes). What i did wrong?

you need to run sudo update-grub after you edit the grub config, after that it should be permanent… then reboot and check with the 2 cat commands if they return ‘0’ … if yes, reboot and disable the ethernet in bios and test suspending

My edits just do not apply… I don’t know why. I do everything as you asked, but when i re-open the file /etc/default/grub nowatchdog isn’t there. Maybe i’m adding it wrong?
I do GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet apparmor=1 security=apparmor resume=UUID=56242996-2e2f-4958-8f12-59564b230866 udev.log_priority=3 nowatchdog"

Also /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf is being deleted somehow. I created it yesterday after reading your post but now it does not exist…

did you run this after editing the grub conf:
sudo update-grub

when you pressed ctrl+x, did you press ‘y’ when prompted and then clicked ‘enter’?

Yes i did.

Ooof, you didn’t say anything about enter before, i was only clicking Y(Yes) and closing terminal by alt+f4 because i didn’t know that Enter exits from nano. I am going to test this again now:
