I installed manjaro with the “Swap no hibernate” option selected, but I still got a message saying “Error: Resume: no device specified for hibernation” on boot. After some debugging I realized that in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf “resume” is specified as one of the hook so after deleting that and regenerating initramfs the error went away. I really feel like you should not include “resume” in the /etc/mkinitcpio.conf file by default.
