Help installing minimal on orange pi 4 lts to emmc

I attempted to install manjaro on my opi4lts last year with no luck. So im trying again now and still having no good luck with it.

The most up to date image i found was 23.05 minimal.
I dd’ that to a sdcard, which boots okay. However when i try to dd the same image from the sd to emmc blk device it just leaves a blinking cursor and doesnt copy the image.

Is there any other way to install this to the emmc?

Installed via the kde desktop version worked instead
