Hardware codec in kodi for Khadas VIM3-Pro board

Hi

I have Khadas VIM3-Pro and VIM3L board. I installed Manjaro KDE Plasma OS in vim3-pro board. I installed Kodi. version of kodi is 19.3 metrix. it’s working fine. but when i play video then cpu usage goes to high. I assume that hardware acceleration is not using. and also i am not seeing any setting for hardware codec in kodi.

are there any hardware encoder decoder for kodi or any support for it ?

Not yet, it is still under development and still not reached stable stage.

You can try mpv using the following command to see if it does hardware decoding.
mpv --hwdec=auto filename
Currently it can only decode h264 and some h265 but remember seek(forward/backward) is broken.
