у меня схожая проблема. какое-то время у меня все было хорошо с зпуском,но по некоторым причинам я переустановил Manjaro и после этой переустановки меню запуска ОС пропало.
таким образом, для запуска меню необходимо,чтобы в /etc/default/grub было так : GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false (раскомментировано и false) у меня так и есть
в ответ на LC_ALL=C sudo update-grub я получаю сообщение :
Warning: os-prober will be executed to detect other bootable partitions. Its output will be used to detect bootable binaries on them and create new boot entries.
что говорит о том,что мой все как бы хорошо,но меню запуска ОС так и не появляется. в чем может быть дело?
GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false требуется только для обнаружения другой операционной системы, например, при многозагрузке. Исходя из ваших описаний, похоже, вам нужно настроить другие параметры в файле /etc/default/grub.

GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false is only needed to detect another OS, for example when multi-booting. From your descriptions, it seems you need to adjust other settings in /etc/default/grub.

Правильно ли я понял, что если в grub файле я не найду этих параметров, то могу прописать их самостоятельно в файл и ничего при этом не сломаю?
Могу ли при повторной проблеме поместить сюда весь grub файл целиком для более точного анализа?
Так же , насколько понимаю, режим fastboot(или как он правильно называется) для windows. должен быть обязательно отключен? (Возможно windows обновлялся и какие-то параметры запуска ос могли измениться).

возможно, это поможет определить причину.
так же проверил виндовс и бастрая загрузка в нем отключена. в bios boot prior ssd с manjaro > ssd windows
