hi guys,
yesterday i installed some packages, like vscode, bookworm and tor.
and my manjaro doesn’t boot anymore: after bootstrap grub doesn’t work.

I don’t know where to start troubleshooting. I tried using grub-install with a live-usb-majaro. but it was not fixed.
Do you have some advice?
Can i find the grub related logs from the previous start somewhere?
boot into manjaro live usb, connect to internet, chroot:
manjaro-chroot -a
rerun update:
pacman-mirrors -f 5 && pacman -Syyu
if there are errors post them here;
post also output from:
mhwd-kernel -li
mhwd -l -li
and logs from the failed boot:

in the logs there is a firefox core dump, and have no idea how it is possible, since you cant boot…

yes, sorry for my inaccuracies. During these days of troubleshooting I found a way to run my system properly using rEFInd boot manager (it was already installed, but I always used the default which now still doesn’t work).
I don’t remember, but I think these logs are collected after a boot with rEFInd.

Looking at these logs I remember a fact: some days before this problem I was installing refind to install windows in another partition. I can’t install it because the installer wanted to reformat the disk. I aborted the mission to have dual boot with windows.
But after this adventure with window, manjaro’s default startup kept working. I’m confused.
I’m considering booting with refind a workaround and I would try to fix the default boot.
so your grub is messed up? you can reinstall grub from chroot, but since you managed to fix it with refind, i dont see a reason for reinstalling grub…
