Gpm doesn't seem to work

gpm is installed in the 3 manjaro live .iso’s i’ve tried, but doesn’t seem to work.

Switch to VT3.
Move mouse. No cursor seen.
Doubleclick. No selection seen.

i’m using a wired USB mouse on a thinkpad e540. is it safe to presume that’s all supported hardware? As it works in X i would think so.

Does the manjaro version of gpm require something special to get it activated and working?

I presume you’re referring to General Purpose Mouse. If so, have you seen General purpose mouse - ArchWiki?
