No, but if you opted for auto-login, then it will trigger that popup, because then you will have now logged in without providing a password, and then your wallet remains closed until you supply it with a password.

If you don’t need the wallet, then you can disable it. But it is generally a good idea to keep it open, because it stores your passwords for email, etc.
Wgen I type the pas., I press the eye to see it & make sure it is right. I just erases it, I know I am typing it right, but it never takes it, doesn’t say it is wrong though.
That’s why it is better to keep the wallet open. But it’s the fact that you chose auto-login which requires you to type your password for opening the wallet. If on the other hand you log in normally with a password, then the wallet will accept this login and will automatically be opened.
You can also technically remove the wallet password from KDE Settings, just save an empty password.
