Goodix GFPX3200 Fingerprint

Hello,

It seems I have a Goodix GXFP3200 fingerprint (which is Enabled in BIOS) but it does not appear in lsusb:

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda:5830 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. USB2.0 camera
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0a2a Intel Corp. Bluetooth wireless interface
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

I dont see nothing in dmesg about Goodix, GXFP or Fingerprint… Could I have any chance to make it works?

Thank you

Hi @totola ,
Maybe your device could be seen elsewhere, please try the following command : (root may be needed)

dmesg

in my case I can see:

[ 1.284051] usb 3-3: New USB device found, idVendor=27c6, idProduct=533c, bcdDevice= 1.00
[ 1.284056] usb 3-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
[ 1.284059] usb 3-3: Product: FingerPrint
[ 1.284062] usb 3-3: Manufacturer: Goodix

to narrow down the search you can use grep like :

dmesg | grep oodix

Good luck
