GNU Backgammon dont open after install

I have installed the GNU Backgammon application from add/remove software, and then try to run it from the menu but the program does not open.
There is a way to run it from the console with the gnubg -r command, but you can’t save configuration changes this way. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

What happens if you run gnubg (no -r) from a terminal?

A bit lacking in the information dept…what command are you trying to run, and from what menu?

ETA: Changed to 3rd party applications, this is not an AUR issue.

Moved to #support:applications — it’s a Manjaro repo package.

gnubg

For me, it works under sway/wayland (both GUI and from a terminal), from a TTY, and even by SSH on my iPad.

Check

pacman -Qk gnubg

If any altered files, re-install the package.

Otherwise, you can try the hints detailed here:
