Since version 0.99.13 I guess things have not changed for me - i.e. I close the program and it freezes asking me to wait longer.
It’s such an odd thing to see, Manjaro works like a charm other than that.
is there a way to diagnose it? reinstall? too simplistic an approach? what gives?
Cherrytree is at version 0.99.19 now on AUR.
Have you read the comments on the package page ?

A rebuild is required, especially after an update. Also you can report issues here
