Gnome going lock screen and switching monitor off after some inactivity

Hey there,
for some time already the lock-screen and screen turning off mechanism has been behaving irregular. There are 3 types of behaviors I could observe over time:

1:
After some time the lock screen is being shown and the screen goes blank, monitors go in sleep mode.

2:
After some time the lock screen is being shown and the screen goes blank, monitors don’t go in sleep mode.

3:
The lock screen is never been shown after some time, desktop is keep being shown

Case 1 is the expected behavior, rarely case 2 happens, and usually case 3 is more often the wrong behavior.

Currently the system only stays in case 3 and I can’t figure out what the issue here is. I did not mess around with any settings concerning this behavior. I did some reinstalling of some packages like vulkan or nvidia-drivers and installing some applications.
