@Mirdarthos check this out

I can’t remember about the other post. I’m just presuming you pinged me because I was involved in the other one. Please don’t do that as we are all volunteers here, and it’s actually very rude to make demands on others’ time.

This is 2 different graphics adapters. And this one:

Doesn’t seem to have the hybrid drivers installed. So it might take over, I don’t know. :man_shrugging:

Please provide the output of:

mhwd --list

And

mhwd --listinstalled

I just installed manjaro again with open source drivers and now my external monitor is working, should I keep using them ? Like will there be hybrid switching with open source drivers or I should stick with proprietary drivers ?

And after updating the system it broke again half of my screen of external display is white now

I honesty don’t know, as I have a desktop with only one GPU…

Oh ok :smiling_face_with_tear:

That tells me it’s maybe the driver causing it. Perhaps try another one? There are 4 in mhwd. Perhaps try the 470xx driver if you use the 515xxx driver…

And I also tried following optimus-manager guide whenever I install gdm-prime it gives build error , says dependency lookup for udev with method pkgconfig failed

I was on 530xx and tried 470xx too both not working

Suggests that the pkgconfig dependency isn’t installed, and it’s in the core repository:

$ pamac search pkgconfig
[...]
pkgconf                                                                                                                                                                                                         [Installed] 1.8.1-1               core
[...]

So can be easily installed using:

pamac install pkgconf

But, I have to ask:

Have you gone through this:

Perhaps specifically the Dual GPU section.

Yes I already gone thru this dual gpu section didn’t got any solution like I can’t even enable my secondary monitor, to launch an application using dgpu Is a different thing , i guess

Ok let me follow these steps

Afterwards, just for giggles, reboot and try the installation again.

If it still doesn’t work…

:man_shrugging:
