I am having the exact same issue when trying to mount an ISO image. I right-click on the ISO and select “disk image mounter” just to get that error…help please!
Hello and sorry for my bad english (i’m from Uruguay, South America). I solved de issue changing de Kernel. Now use the LTS 5.4 Kernel and can mount ISO images (gnome-disk-utility) with Thunar perfectly.

hi Pablo i also stucked in this situation you have mentioned to change the Kernel what does that mean , how i’ll do it ti solve this issue
