I followed the steps in the linked dim screen when user is idle help article, but to no avail. While that is probably my own fault for misunderstanding what I’m supposed to do here, I’m not even sure this would restore the old behaviour if it worked (as I assume even screen brightness of 0 is not the same as screen off?)
I would like to restore the previous behaviour of GNOME whereby the screen would go to sleep after whatever “screen blank” time is set in the settings menu.
Is there a way to simply restore the old behaviour?
