Getting logged out when switching between activities

Hi everyone! It’s my first post in the forum.

Whenever I switch to another activity, I’ll get black screen and need to login again. And after login I entered the activity I was trying to switch to.

I have removed my custom activities and reset the default one. Doesn’t help.

Could it be my misconfiguration on the start up script? Where should I look into?

I’m using KDE Plasma btw.

Does this also happen if you create a new user and log in there?

Logically you can’t log in from a black screen… something’s missing here. Did you first try pressing Alt+Space to see if Krunner comes down and restarting your plasma?

Try typing a command in there:
killall plasmashell && kstart plasmashell

You can also start up yakauke and try to pull that down on your black screen, or do CTRL+T to get a terminal up.

Next time you switch to a black screen try it (it’ll come up as soon as you start typing ‘killall pl’).
