GCC 8.1.0 in Manjaro Unstable

Phoronix news: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=GCC-8.1-Released
Arch Linux packages stage:

New GCC release changed sonames of libgfortran and libgo.

On my desktop PC, I have archlinux + testing. So far, so good, but I didn’t build a lot of software with it. Waiting for it to be officialised

I have been surprised by the fact that GCC 8 ships with the newly released Fedora 28 but still appears in testing on Arch or Manjaro…

Any explanation for this?

For Arch is in stable https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort=&q=gcc&maintainer=&flagged=

For Manjaro is the usual flow of updates or probably more relaxed this time [Unstable Update] 2018-05-07 - GCC8, Cinnamon, Gnome, Haskell, Python

It is a compile and some stuff like kernels need to recompiled against it. Fedora focused on the latest gcc810, we had gcc731 series so far.

OK thanks!
