So i installed google chrome from the AUR,
how do i launch this thing??
its not even in the start menu
its nowhere to be found
also how can i add shortcuts to apps, like discord for example
why are steam games have no icons? its blank

Open a terminal, type chrome
Complain to the package maintainer it’s their job to do that.
Discord is in the official repos and should have a menu shortcut. Did you get it from the website instead?

You can right click on the desktop and select ‘create launcher’ on XFCE (there may be something similar on KDE and Gnome.)
From there it should be easy.
If the application has a menu entry you can right click ‘add to desktop’
