Fresh KDE Install Black Screen

Hello all!

I have installed Manjaro KDE latest version on Amd Ryzen5 + Nvidia RTX2060 computer. I’m able to see the greeter screen and once I put my password and login, a black screen is welcoming me. I can only see the Manjaro Hello panel and pointer. That’s it basically, not able to start terminal with key combinations or anything. However, if I do CTRL + ALT + F2 and login my account manually and execute command “startx” everything works fine. With that I can see the desktop and do everything. How can I troubleshoot this issue? It started become annoy me because I have to do a trick to just to see my desktop.

Solved by this response:

For full Wayland support on Nvidia with Plasma, one needs to enable the DRM kernel mode setting, by adding kernel parameter

nvidia-drm.modeset=1

This doesn’t work on hybrid systems, because the system is not booting to a graphical interface. It is a known bug that is waiting to be fixed for a long time… However, with hybrid graphics, Wayland uses Intel and Nvidia is used only for games or on demand, which still works as usual. The only problem may occur with multimonitor support which sometimes needs this parameter (but not always).

Just FYI, if someone with hybrid system would read it.
