Fresh install Manjaro 25.0 made font displaying sharper

I run Manjaro KDE stable with X11 on AMD Radeon 590.

Yesterday I made a fresh install to get btrfs, and now all text seems to be rendered sharper - yay!

That makes me wonder, because I keep Manjaro’s default settings, and I keep it updated and merge all pacnew etc. That should keep my installation up to date as if it was freshly installed, right? Except for what I have done to my $USER profile, but AFAIK I have not changed any setting that should affect font rendering.

I am a happy Manjaro user :hugs:

Hello there, this might come a bit late, but it is nice to hear you enjoy Manjaro  Of course it is always keep your installation up to date, not only because of bug fixes, but also because of security. However, stable updates tend to affect multiple packages, so always check Stable Updates Announcements before proceeding. I can only guess that your font rendering issues might have been because of some leftover dot file in your home or.config directory, and reinstalling got rid of it.
