Force Screen Off After Idle Time, Regardless of Video Playback (Manjaro KDE)

Hi everyone, I need a bit of help.

I’m using Manjaro with KDE Plasma, and I’ve configured KDE to turn off my displays after 15 minutes of idle time. This works most of the time — but there’s one exception:

Some applications, like web browsers, seem to prevent the screen from turning off, probably due to things like video playback.

What I’d like is this:
Regardless of what’s running — even if a video is playing — I want the screen to turn off after 15 minutes of no keyboard or mouse activity.

Is there a way to completely ignore what software is doing and base the screen timeout only on user input inactivity?

Thanks in advance!

play any media on the application you want unblocked, expand the notification area. click on “power management”, click on the drop down to unblock screen turning off.

might only apply to the application currently playing media
